Major Sponsorship Boost |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The West Riding CFA received a major boost with the news that
brewery Molson Coors is to sponsor the final of this season’s County
Cup competition.
The brewery is using its popular Carling brand for the
sponsorship and from 3 March, the start date of the agreement
between the two parties, the final will be known as the West Riding
Carling County Cup final.
Over the years the final has produced some wonderful matches and in
2009, Garforth took the trophy with success over Bradford Park
Avenue. Wednesday 14 April is earmarked as the date for the 2010
final and representatives from Molson Coors will join WRCFA
President, Peter Marsden, for the presentation ceremony at the end
of the final at Fleet Lane.
Molson Coors’ excellent products are already being sampled by
officials and visitors to the function room at County HQ after
events organiser and stewardess, Wendy Maskill, introduced the
brewery earlier this year.
WRCFA Chief Executive, Roy Carter, said: “A warm welcome to the
County family is extended to Molson Coors. The sponsorship of the
County Cup final is great news and hopefully the brewery will be
keen to be involved in further competitions in years to come”
Matthew Janney, Account Manager for Molson Coors, told Riding High:
“ We are proud to be involved in this prestigious competition. We
have built up an excellent working relationship with the County HQ
already. Carling is the number one brand in the country of its type
and is already well linked to football. I am sure this relationship
will benefit both parties and we are looking forward to a long term
partnership” |
