Greetland first gained the Charter
Standard award in Feb 2004. Along the way the club discovered
the many benefits of being Charter standard and now has teams at all
ages from under 7 to under 16 and, more recently, has added girls
team at under 11 and 12. |

The Girls have already benefited
financially from being members of a Charter Standard Club by
receiving a £400 Football Foundation grant towards new kit. |

Club Secretary Nigel Whitworth
said "This is the third year we
have entered girls teams into the West Riding Girls League and when
we first entered we had just 7 girls, now there are over 20. This
has been the major success story for the club and the first time in
the last few years we have had teams at all age groups. People are
seeing we are a Charter Standard club and how well run we are." |
