CHARTER STANDARD

Skipton Town Juniors

SKIPTON TOWN JUNIORS have joined the ever growing band of Charter Standard Clubs and do not plan to stop there.

The Club currently has just one team at under 16 playing in the Craven, Aire and Wharfe Junior League but will soon be launching a Girls Football Section through involvement with the Kickstart Scheme currently in operation at the neighbouring Sandylands All Weather facility.

Further expansion plans include introducing at least one new age group for 2006-07.  The Club also has representation on the Craven Football Development Forum and is committed to helping deliver the aims of the Forum's Development Plan.

Receiving the award on behalf of the club, Secretary and Child Welfare Officer, Ian Longden said he was delighted to accept the award and was excited at the prospect of the club being able to provide increased opportunities for the Town's youngsters and paid tribute the the clubs Committee and Volunteers for their help in gaining the award.
