Tingley Athletic was initially awarded the Charter Standard mark in
2002, quickly followed by Charter Development Club status.
In May 2006 Tingley Athletic Junior Football Club joined a select
group of just 25 clubs throughout the whole West Riding to achieve
the much coveted FA Charter Standard Community Club award, the
FA’s most prestigious Charter Standard endorsement.
This award was pivotal in the clubs successful application for
Football Foundation grant aid to the tune of £664,668.00, which,
together with other funding contributions and 5 years of hard graft
fundraising by club members, gave Tingley in excess of £800,000.00
to invest in their superb new facility featuring...

From humble beginnings, the Garforth League Club now boasts over
300 players from under 7 to adult open age, 6 girls teams, 24
qualified coaches, local club school links, and of course a lasting
and secure future.
