|
| WAY BACK IN 1993 an exceptionally talented
group of girls came together to form Leeds City Vixens. This
group of girls grew up together, conquering all who stood in
their path, progressing through the Sheffield and District
Girl’s League, winning the u12’s, u14’s and u16’s. |
| |
| Ultimately, they formed an open age team that
progressed through the adult leagues and now competes in the
Northern Combination (the equivalent of the men’s Coca Cola
league 1) |

 |
|
| Throughout the
club’s history, younger girls have joined, permitting the
club to enter successful teams in the Four Counties Regional
Girls League (playing against Leeds United, Sheffield
Wednesday and Sheffield United). |
| |
| Continued growth led
to more teams competing in the West Riding Girl’s Football
League enabling the club to widen the playing opportunities |

WHY DID WE WORK TO GET
CHARTER STANDARD ? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Leeds City Vixens has
achieved FA Charter Standard at both Junior and Adult level,
demonstrating the commitment shown by the club to develop players
skills and giving them the opportunity to play at the highest level
that they will enjoy. How many clubs give you the
opportunity to compete equally against Leeds United, Sheffield
United and Sheffield Wednesday ? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Furthermore, the FA
Charter Standard recognises that Leeds City Vixens is fully
inclusive, giving youngsters the opportunity to play at whatever
level they are happy with |
|

 |
WHAT ABOUT THE
FUTURE ? |
| |
| As one of the top 80
clubs in the country the club recognises it must take a
leading role in developing female football. Therefore, the
club is working towards its FA Community Standard and is
working with the Leeds City Council to promote football within
Leeds, especially in the partnership with schools. |

WHERE DO WE PLAY ? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Leeds City Vixens play at,
arguably, the best private facility in Leeds, Adel War Memorial
Association. (Church Lane, Adel). This facility provides two full
size pitches, several mini-soccer pitches and a full size
all-weather pitch. |
