| Woodkirk Valley Football Club was formed on
June 1st 2001 by Peter Pearce, Neil Austin and Mark Coffey
with 40 children in 3 teams. Since then, the club
has expanded each year and now boasts over 130 players in 8
age groups. |
| |
| The main aim of the club is to provide
recreational sports activities for children and their parents.
To offer enjoyable, educative and stimulating opportunities to
children and parents and to help them gain new knowledge,
skills and awareness. |
|
|
|
|
|
| |
| The Club is forward
thinking and always looks to promote football along with
improvements in sporting standards and facilities throughout
the local area. |
 |
| |
| To this end the Club
applied for Charter Standard status in October 2003 and was
accepted in December 2003 only a little over two years after
it's original formation. All Club Managers attend FA Qualified
Manager training and child protection best practice is
followed. Currently the Club is looking toward
achieving the next level charter standard. |
