CHARTER STANDARD

County's Mark Coulson with the players

GALA DAY 7TH MAY 2005

It was smiles all round at Collingham Junior Football Club on Sat 7th May 2005, as the club enjoyed their end of season gala.

This year was special as the club welcomed Mark Coulson from West Riding County FA to award the club with the prestigious Charter Standard Community Club Award

COLLINGHAM FC

The award is in recognition of the progress the club has made in the last few years and its continuing commitment to junior football development. C.J.F.C. is only one of sixteen such clubs throughout county with only 50 clubs throughout the whole of the U.K

With over 210 junior players registered from 6 to 17 years of age, 2 open age male teams and 1 open age female team things are going at a hectic pace at C.J.F.C. The coming season will also see the development of girls football with at least 1 junior girls team and, hopefully the start of major redevelopment within the club of its facilities including new changing rooms and refurbishment of the club house. Mark made particular reference to Collinghams School - Club link with Boston Spa School and its induction and mentoring policies for volunteers.
