  Course of Learning  
Will be conducted by the course Tutor (Internal Assessor)
 
  Theory  
There will be a number of theory sessions that will be delivered by the tutor that will involve both individual and group work:
Attitudes and Ethics
Soccer Parent
Growth and Development
Mini Soccer
Club Administration 
 
  Practical  
The practical sessions will cover the 23 practices in the Club Coach Handbook that also appear on the Club Coach video
The Internal tutor will deliver a number of the practices that you will play in.  You will also have the opportunity to deliver a practice with a colleague, that will allow the tutor to feedback to individuals and the group to enable you to identify strengths and weaknesses and then design personal action plans.
 
  FA Child Protection and best practice  
Certificated 3-hour course, the child protection tutor needs to sign off in your CP page 8. The certificate will be mailed direct to the address you register and should arrive within 6 weeks. This should be inserted into your candidate pack as evidence of attendance after the course. 

FA Emergency Aid

Certificated 3-hour course, the first aid tutor needs to sign off in your CP page 8. The certificate will be signed and presented to you directly after the course.  If certificates are unavailable they will be mailed direct to you within 6 weeks.  This should be inserted into your candidate pack as evidence of attendance after the course. 
 
  Distance learning    
You will be required to do the following homework:  
Log on to www.thefa.com and complete the Soccer Parent online workshop and print off certificate and should be inserted into your candidate pack as evidence of completion.
Read the Club Coach Handbook, Football Administration Handbook and look through the Laws of the Game CD (Note – there is no certificate from this).
 
  Internal Assessment Exam    
You will have to undertake a 40 question multiple choice exam paper.  You have 40 minutes to complete the exam and can use your handbooks and notes during the exam.
 
  External Assessment    

Your internal assessment information and evidence must be signed off prior to taking your external assessment.

 
  Practical  

You will receive one of the 23 practices as your final assessment topic on the last day of the internal course. You will be required to attend a full day where you will need to plan and deliver your practice.  You must produce a session plan (page 35 CP) and you will have an opportunity to ask any questions with regards to your practice at the start of the external assessment day.

 
 

Theory / Oral Interview

 
Once all coaching sessions have been completed, candidates will have personal interviews with the assessor who will inform you of the final decision and discuss your action plan to develop.
