Mentoring Young Leaders

 
Course Duration:  3 hours         Minimum age 16
  
Course Aims and Objectives: 
* To understand ‘What is a Football Leader’?
* To identify the benefits of young leaders to football
* To identify the skills of a leader mentor
* To understand and practice an effective mentoring process
* To identify individual development as a leader mentor
 
Course Content: 
Theory: The course will introduce some key aspects in the following: 
* Why young leaders may need a mentor/varying roles of a leaders
* Qualities of an effective mentor
* Pre, During and post mentor activity
* Effective questioning
* Reflection and feedback
 
Practical:
* Classroom based course
Assessment:
Candidates will be formatively assessed throughout the course. 
Refresher:
  No refresher required.
