SKIPTON FOOTBALLERS NOW HAVE ACCESS to the best
sports facilities in the area, thanks to a £562,564 Football
Foundation grant |

The brand new full size, all weather, floodlit
pitch and changing rooms at Coulthurst Craven Sports Centre was
officially opened at a special fun day on Sun 23 May 2004. |

Roger
Beck, Chairman of the Coulthurst Craven Sports Centre
Management Committee, a self-help Registered Charity, said
“This project will significantly
increase the provision of sports facilities at the sports centre
and therefore access and opportunities for the benefit of the
whole community in Craven" |

paid special tribute to the work done by Andy Hailwood and
the West Riding County FA. |

project had come to a standstill until Andy came along. |

knowledge and experience helped us to overcome barriers and
complete the work" |

Women & Girls, disabled groups, ethnic groups,
local football clubs, schools and Craven College will all be
encouraged to make use of the new facilities. |
