Charter Standard Schools are invited to to enter themselves into the FA National Charter Standard School awards.
 

This year schools have the opportunity to win at a County, Regional and National level gaining local and national recognition for your outstanding achievements in using football to provide high quality PE & Sport. 

 

Six categories exist, CS Primary, CS Secondary, CS Primary Development, CS Secondary Development, CS Special and Specialist Sports Colleges who are CS Secondary or CS Secondary Development.

  WESTBOROUGH HIGH SCHOOL - Charter Standard  
 
LINKS WITH LOCAL CLUBS Dewsbury Rangers and St John Fisher ensure a quality environment for youngsters developing their footballing skills in the Dewsbury area
 
The School presently has 2 male and 1 female coach teaching 5 boys teams and 3 girls teams from years 7 - 11, which includes an after school club
 
The school also includes Junior Football Oranisers courses within its curriculum

LEEDS UNITED'S Paul Robinson and Sue Smith paid a visit to Woodlesford Primary in February as part of the FA's 'Up for the Cup' programme
 
“Up for the Cup” is a teaching package which aims to help children aged between 7-11 to fulfil their potential across the curriculum – from numeracy and literacy to geography, history, citizenship, and art and design technology!
 
With all teachers TOPS qualified, and a Girls after School Club the FA are highly impressed with the work done at Woodlesford
 
 
  KETTLETHORPE SECONDARY - Charter Standard  
 
FIVE BOYS TEAMS, 2 GIRLS TEAMS, Four Qualified Coaches and a Year 7 - 11 Football Curriculum win Kettlethorpe the Secondary School Award for 2004
 
  KNOTTINGLEY HIGH SPORTS COLLEGE - Charter Standard  
 
KNOTTINGLEY'S ENTHUSIASM FOR CHARTER STANDARD has meant 23 boys and 11 girls have joined local clubs in the last year.   A curriculum including delivery of football to years 7 - 11, an after school club, 3 Festivals and Facility Projects - All delivered by Level 2 Coaching Staff and Junior Football Organisers - gives Knottingley this years Sports College Award.
