Calling all Special Schools

LEADING CHILDRENS CANCER CHARITY CLIC Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood, are urging special schools and clubs across the UK to take part in their exciting ‘KICK for CLIC’ event, to be held in June 2005, raising money for children with cancer.
Kick for CLIC, kindly supported by ECCO shoe’s back to school range and Dick and Dom of CBBC, is a simple ball-kicking event where families and friends can sponsor children per ball kicked, per goal scored or simply by taking part in whatever way meets the needs of the children at your school!
Even better still, not only will your school receive 10 FREE FOOTBALLS to use for your event but you will also get to keep 25% of the money you raise! A fantastic chance for children to not only join together and have fun in a healthy way but raise money for their school and children with cancer at the same time!

Five families are told their child has cancer or leukaemia everyday in the UK. From that moment on their lives will never be the same again. Most children will survive, some will unfortunately die, but the scars on the family will remain. CLIC’s role is to try to help these children and their families cope and keep life as normal as possible.

CLIC recognises the extreme pressures placed on families when a child is diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia and works towards meeting the financial, practical, emotional and clinical needs of those children, helping to keep families together when the unimaginable happens.

With 50 schools taking part in our pilot event in 2004, we are looking for over 500 schools to join us across the UK in 2005, raising £200,000 for CLIC!

Register now and your school will receive your free Kick for CLIC event pack, including footballs, balloons, sponsors forms and lots, lots more!
