About CLIC Sargent
Imagine being told your child has cancer. It has to be a parent’s
worst nightmare but every day in the UK, 10 mums and dads are given this devastating news. CLIC Sargent,
the UK’s leading children’s cancer charity, is there for every single
one of them, at the time when they need us most.

In Leeds CLIC Sargent has 2 fantastic services to help to lighten the
load of families going through this difficult time. We have a Social
Care Team based at Jimmy’s, who help with all the non-medical issues
that may arise and the Community Volunteer Support Project, which
offers free home help for families going through the unimaginable.

What do we want each school to do?
During the run up to the festival we would ask each school to organise
their own fundraising activity, with funds from each school across the
West Riding being combined and donated to CLIC Sargent. The E.ON
schools festival would then be the culmination of all the hard work
that the schools have done, in order to raise lots of money.

This is a great opportunity to offer the children within your school a
chance to get involved in a fun activity, in turn raising money for a
very worthwhile charity. Please find enclosed an information
leaflet on different ways that you can fundraise. Whether it be
a penalty shoot out or a beat the goalie competition, every little bit
will count. As a County we have registered to run this event, so
no need for you to register – we have already done this for you.
Once your school has done the fundraising event, you could either
donate 75% of the money raised and keep the other 25% or donate the
full 100% - it’s up to you!!

I hope you can make this day a great event, in turn raising lots of
