Charter Success for Rodley Primary

Rodley Village Primary School in Leeds became one of the latest flagship schools in the County by attaining the FA Charter Standard Primary School status.

The award was even more significant for the school as they are facing the threat of closure later this month.  With only 65 students in the whole school, this small village primary school are very proud of their achievement.

The driving force behind all of this has been Debbie Stuttard, Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant at the school, having recently completed her FA Level 1 in Coaching Football.

A decision will be made as to the fate of the school, but members of staff can’t help fearing the worst.  The County FA and The FA would like to recognise all the hard work that the school has put in, not only in obtaining the award but also ensuring the school continues to develop

The presentation was made by County Football Development Officer Andrew Shuttleworth (pictured above with Teacher Debbie Stuttard and some of the pupils)
