National Game Strategy

HAVE YOUR SAY !

The West Riding County FA has organised a special 'National Game Strategy' regional consultation to give you an opportunity to shape the future of football...

The event, which will be hosted by Sky TV commentator John Helm is open to anyone with an interest in the future of the game and is part of the FA's new National Game Strategy which sets out the key priorities and targets for the Game up to 2012.  The FA’s National Game Strategy will shape the development of football at all levels for the next four years and was produced after extensive consultation with the wider football community across the country.

We now need your help to produce a 4 year County Strategy to develop the game at a local level.  A regional consultation event has been organised to give you and all of our other stakeholders an opportunity to shape the future of football, to feedback and challenge our thinking so far, and to raise any current issues or challenges.

PLEASE NOTE...
The evening session has now been cancelled and the whole event will now take place in the afternoon
The event details are as follows:
     Venue    Bradford City FC
     Date Wednesday 12th March
     Time Session One 1.00 – 4.00

The session will be based on the key goals and enablers for the strategy which are as follows
The four key goals:
  • Growth and retention – increasing the number of players and addressing retention
  • Raising standards and addressing abusive behaviour – creating a safe and positive environment
  • Developing better players – focusing on improving the quality of the 5-11 age group
  • Running the game effectively – leading and governing the game
To do this successfully The FA recognises the following three key enablers are critical:
  • Workforce – recruiting and developing a highly skilled and diverse paid and volunteer workforce
  • Facilities – improving the quality and access of training and playing facilities
  • Promotion – effective marketing, PR and communications
