Mini-Soccer Referee Course

Mini Soccer is the version of football for players under the age of 10 years. It has its own Laws of the Game, which are similar to, but different from, mainstream 11-a-side football.

It is extremely popular: about a third of youth football (i.e. soccer for people under the age of 18 years) takes the form of Mini Soccer. CLICK HERE for more details of Mini Soccer.

At the moment, there is no specific Mini Soccer Referee qualification. Although the West Riding County FA can provide a specific Mini Soccer Seminar for parents and club officials, etc., who regularly officiate in Mini Soccer.

The Mini Soccer Seminar whilst not leading to a refereeing qualification, outlines the philosophy of Mini Soccer and the importance of understanding the needs of children in football. The Course covers the role of the Referee in Mini Soccer and the Laws of Mini Soccer.

The Mini Soccer Laws of the Game Course is of two hours duration and is normally held on one evening. There is no examination but candidates will receive an Attendance Certificate.

Mini Soccer Laws of the Game Training Courses are arranged in conjunction with local providers of Mini Soccer as and when demand requires.
