After their
disappointing performance against
Suffolk
in the FA County Youth Cup semi-final a fortnight ago, the U18’s
got back to winning ways in their final league fixture of the season
last night, securing Division 1 Champions spot outright with a
comfortable 4-0 victory over East Riding FA., with goals by Joe
Barber, Luke Gibson, Paddy Miller and Marcus Edwards. |

This marks a
tremendous achievement for the squad having won the Division 2 title
last season and now winning the top Division with a 100% record over
the 2 season’s league fixtures.
The victory now confirms that the semi-final of the knock-out
stage will take place at
County
HQ
and has been fixed for Saturday 5th April, kick off 2-00pm, with the
visitors being Liverpool FA. After losing out on a second successive
FA County Youth Cup final appearance, the squad is setting their
sights on winning the overall Northern Counties Championship for the
first time since 2002 |
