Garforth Rangers A.F.C was formed in 1996,
when a few parents arranged competitive matches for children wishing to play
football. Since then the Club has grown with around 250 children
representing Rangers in a number of different leagues, with age groups
ranging from Under 8`s to Under 16`s

In July, 2002 Rangers coaches ran a summer soccer school for girls,
this formed part of the Clubs development plan to encourage girls from
Garforth and the surrounding areas to be involved in football. The sessions
proved to be a great success and enabled the Club to support the newly
formed West Riding Girls League by entering teams at age groups U-10`s, 12`s
and 14`s.

|
|
The girls had a great season and thoroughly
enjoyed their football experience, with the under 10`s team reaching the
final of the shield competition.

Garforth Rangers continue their commitment to
create a safe environment for children to play football and are currently
looking for applications, from like minded, enthusiastic people, to join the
Club as coaches/team managers, to develop the girls section still further.
The Club will support successful applicants to gain Coaching, Emergency Aid
and Child Protection qualifications, if required.
