Between them Chairman Geoff Otty and Treasurer Tom Bennett have put over 40
years of their lives into the thriving Pannal Sports Junior Football Club.
During that time the club has grown into one of the best in the area. |
|
With teams from u10 to u17, plus 2 open age sides, over 150 players turn out
each week for the Harrogate based club. |
|

The one thing that has caused problems over the years has been facilities.
Trying to find a permanent home has met with disappointment on several occasions
but the club is determined and is now in negotiations with
various authorities to find a permanent base.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The Clubs hard working committee were quick to realise the importance
of the Charter Standard scheme and became the first in the area to
achieve the coveted Community award.

Danny Philpott of the County
FA was delighted to inform the club of their award and
said.
|
|
|
“The time and effort put in
by all the staff has now proved to be worthwhile. Their positive attitude
towards change has enabled them to move forward, creating a club that will
be recognised as a safe, quality club to be involved in.”

Joe Billington, Secretary of Pannal Sports was thrilled to receive the
award; “As a long established club we are always striving to better
ourselves and this award recognises this. We want to ensure that the
players in all our junior squads are in a safe environment and learn from
qualified coaches. We have teams from under 6 years old right through to
under 17’s - as well as two open age teams. We are looking forward
to the benefits from receiving this award”
