essential first step for a club looking to the future.

The Wakefield club are ideally placed to take advantage of the
funding now available for clubs who are willing to put something back into
the community they serve. |

From a single team in 1966 the club has now grown to include 4 senior
and 12 junior teams with plans to include a girls section next season. |

|
Wakefield MDC have passed plans to develop the clubs present playing fields
which include a new clubhouse, changing rooms, 3 grass and 1 all weather
pitch.

|
|
|
|
|
|
Club Chairman John Williams says "Charter
Standard gives the club official recognition by the Football Association and,
having already gained planning permission to develop the site, we are now talking to the Football
Foundation with a view to raising the necessary funds to start work"
|
