Information for Clubs wishing to attain Charter Standard Status
All Clubs must complete the Charter Standard process (Steps 1-11) below.
 
 Step 1  -  Application
 
The blue box contains 13 downloads which form a complete Starter / Application Pack.
  
The Pack should be treated as a start point for Clubs and contains Application Forms and examples of how to complete the forms.

 Step 2  -  Workshops
 
To help Clubs Achieve the Charter Standard Award local workshops have been set up to provide guidance and support for Club Representatives.
 
You can check workshop dates and book your places by clicking HERE
 
The workshops form a vital part of the learning process as you will meet Members of the Development Team and ask all the questions you want.
 
 Step 3  -  Audit
 
*  Check Coaching Qualifications of Team Managers - Book Level 1 Courses if Necessary
*  Check Codes of Conduct and compile if necessary
*  Check Child Protection Policies and compile if necessary
*  Appoint a Child Protection Officer and book any courses necessary
*  Set Development Plans in place
 Step 4  -  Attend Workshops

 Step 5  -  Complete Application
 
With the help and advice received at the Workshops you should now be able to complete the application procedure
 
 Step 6  -  Submit Application

Your application will be reviewed by the County Development Team
 
 Step 8  -  Feedback
 
Your will be informed if any part of your application requires further attention
 
 Step 9  -  Approval
 
Once your application meets all the Charter Standard criteria it will be forwarded for approval by the County Development Team
 
 Step 10  -  Charter Standard
 
Your club will receive the Charter Standard Certificate and Benefits Pack.
 
 Step 11  -  What Next
 
Now you've taken the first step, Don't stop.   Many clubs have report that once they have completed the process and realised the benefits, they want more.
 
Having achieved Charter Standard many clubs want to move on to Development Standard
 
Having completed the Level 1 Coaching Course many coaches go on take Level 2
 
Stay in touch with the Development Team who provide an ongoing support scheme
